Riassunto dell'attività scientifica 
Contributo alla fisica teorica del plasma: 1. Derivazione di un'equazione cinetica generalizzata per plasma multispecie in un campo magnetico esterno. Usando tecniche matematiche, l'equazione viene ridotta in modo da facilitare enormemente vari calcoli basati su di essa. 2. Forme semplificate di tale equazione vengono utilizzate in diversi studi di laboratorio riguardanti esperimenti col plasma, compreso lo studio delle funzioni di rilassamento e distribuzione della temperatura delle particelle di plasma negli esperimenti di fusione.

Contributo alle scienze ambientali, geoscienze e scienze spaziali: 1. Sviluppo di modelli matematici e fisici per comprendere il movimento e l'impatto delle particelle del suolo spostate dal vento e le risultanti formazioni, nei deserti, aventi caratteristiche superficiali complesse. 2. Sviluppo di modelli matematici per migliorare la nostra comprensione della creazione e del trasporto di polveri e particolato industriale. 3. Studio di modelli matematici per una più completa comprensione dell'alto grado di correlazione scoperto tra le parti variabili dei campi gravitazionali e magnetici terrestri. 4. Formulazione e studio dei modelli matematici del gas interplanetario e della polvere cometaria che portano a una comprensione più profonda della loro evoluzione.
