Riassunto dell’attività scientifica
Il Prof. Gojobori ha lavorato in modo approfondito sui tassi di sostituzione sinonimi e non sinonimi, sulla selezione positive, sul trasferimento orizzontale dei geni, sull’evoluzione virale, sull’evoluzione genomica e sull’espressione genica comparativa. Di recente ha concentrato i suoi studi sull’evoluzione del cervello e del sistema nervoso centrale. Ha contribuito alla costruzione del database internazionale di sequenze di nucleotidi DDBJ/GenBank/EMBL e al database di geni umani H-Invitational.
